British Airways Open Day

On Saturday 3rd September, British Airways opened their Heathrow Engineering Base to visitors for an annual open day. Along with the chance to explore every type of plane in their fleet, including the grounded Concorde, members of the public were treated to performances from celebrities such as Shane Richie, Stavros Flatley and Alexandra Burke.

Here at Brentford 360 we love the chance to explore behind closed doors, so with our special ticket to *ahem* ride… we went along to take some photos of the big day.

Jennie Gow

Jennie Gow is a British Television Presenter and Sports Journalist. Her brief for us was to refresh, update and maintain a complete online presence with a portfolio of photographs to compliment.

We shot a range of images at Jennie’s place of work in just a few hours. The requirement was to get a variety of pictures in various settings as quickly and efficiently as possible which we achieved with a one-man handheld camera. Some of the results are seen here:

The website we created as a showcase, jenniegow.co.uk is very simple. It needed to offer some basic biographical information, some contact details and yet also act as a portal for her viewers and fans to keep up to date with the latest news and some of her personal photos. We added tailor made graphics and used some rss tools to bring in other online content. Simple and Effective. (VIEW WEBSITE)

Natalie Jaque

Natalie Jaque is one of the most listened to voices in the country. She’s been a Continuity announcer for the BBC, ITV, LivingTV and currently for Channel 4. She is also the voice of ZSL (Zoological Society London). She can often be seen at London Zoo too, where she gives talks about the animals as an Explainer.

Natalie required an online presence that could ‘explain’ all of her skills in a simple showcase. nataliejaque.co.uk is the website we created. It’s a very simple solution that offers a chance for readers to find out more about Natalie’s professional endeavours. We’ve brought in her video and audio content from youtube and soundcloud to enhance the experience, added some tailor-made graphics and formatted the site to be entirely viewable on smaller sized screens. A requirement for Natalie in particular, who uses a small Netbook computer. (VIEW WEBSITE)

Mark Manchester

Mark Manchester is a British presenter and voiceover artist. Currently employed as a Continuity Announcer for ITV1, Mark required a website with a fully integrated content management system. A regular blogger and tweeter, he wanted to merge this content with his existing web pages to create a complete online ‘hub’, as a sort of ‘one-stop shop’ for anyone wanting to discover more about him.

Using wordpress and our preferred theme supplier graphpaperpress, we built a completely unique website with a modern look and feel. Tailor-made graphics were used to highlight the areas Mark felt were the most important to visitors and we used these as a basis for a complete brand package too.

We designed business cards and a complete range of stationary to match the online branding and also developed some graphics to be used on other websites, such as Twitter. This allows Mark to unify the way he is portrayed both online and to any of his clients. Simple and Effective. (VIEW WEBSITE)

The annual parade for the Queen’s official birthday, Trooping the Colour, is a typically British example of pomp and ceremony. Held on the second Saturday of June, it’s a chance for the general public to line The Mall in London to get a glimpse of the Royal Family in person.

We’re big fans of Paloma Faith here at B360, so having the opportunity to take some photos of her performance during this year’s iTunes Festival was right up our street….
